Anja Karine Ruud

I am currently a postdoc in Torben Asp's group at Aarhus University, Flakkebjerg, where I work with drought stress tolerance in barley and perennial ryegrass. We use multiomic approaches to model and predict the performance of different genotypes under stress conditions. By integrating transcriptomic and epigenetic data in the models, the aim is to explain more variance and increase predictability. I have a PhD in molecular biology and genetics from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) Department of Plant Sciences. The PhD research focus was on genetic mapping of disease resistance in wheat, and host-pathogen interactions in the wheat-Parastagonospora nodorum pathosystem.
