Angelos A. Amanatiadis (Senior Member, IEEE) received the Diploma and the Ph.D. degree (with Hons.) from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Democritus University of Thrace, Xanthi, Greece, in 2004 and 2009, respectively. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Production and Management Engineering, Democritus University of Thrace. He has authored or coauthored more than 80 scientific papers in the area of autonomous robotic systems, computer vision, machine learning, and real-time embedded systems. He was awarded as one of the Transactions Outstanding Reviewers in appreciation of outstanding service to the IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society. He was the recipient of the Stavros Niarchos Award for Promising Young Scientists and a State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) Postdoc Scholarship.
