Angel H. Romero

Dr. Angel H. Romero was born in Caracas (Venezuela), and obtained his Ph.D. in 2014 from the Simon Bolivar University (Caracas, Venezuela) with Prof. Simón López. He carried out postdoctoral studies at the Alexander Friedrich University Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany (with Prof. Karsten Meyer) and Republic University, Uruguay (with Prof. Hugo Cerecetto). He has held positions as Assistant Professor at Central University of Venezuela, Venezuela, from 2016 to 2019. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor in the Science Faculty (Republic University, Uruguay). His research interests are in the areas of organic synthesis, including the development of novel synthetic transformations, fluorescence studies for understanding basic concepts of the chemistry and development of new antitrypanosomatids.
