Career Trajectory
Bio
I am interested in all aspects of crustacean growth, development, and reproduction. Ecydsis, the process by which arthropods shed their old cuticle, is fundamental to understanding arthropod growth, development, and reproduction. During my Ph.D. studies, I worked on crustacean larvae grow and development, studying the effects of maternal provisioning, temperature, and starvation on these traits. Later, I investigated the neuropeptide control of crustacean ecdysis. In addition, I have a long standing interest in pressure physiology and how shallow-water fauna may adapt to and colonise the deep sea.
