Andrew A Crawford

I am a postdoctoral researcher looking into the effect cortisol has on our health and disease. While we know that very high or low levels of cortisol are detrimental to our health, the effect of cortisol variation within the general population is less well understood. As research coordinator of the CORtisol NETwork (CORNET) consortium we are working towards answering this question. I am fortunate to work with talented colleagues specialising in endocrinology at the Centre for Cardiovascular Science, University of Edinburgh. I am also an honorary member of the MRC Integrative Epidemiology Unit at the University of Bristol where I am able to benefit from expertise in causal analyses.
