Andres Francesch

Andres M. Francesch gained his BSc in Chemistry and PhD in Organic Chemistry at the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela (USC) under guidance of Prof. Angel R. de Lera in 1995. He made a postdoctoral stay under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Antonio Echavarren at the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid (UAM). In 1997, he joined PharmaMar. Currently, he directs the Department of Chemical Processes, in the area of R&D, which is responsible for the synthesis of new chemical entities of marine origin as therapeutic agents against cancer. He has been involve in the process of obtaining the authorization of the initiation of clinical trials by the FDA and / or EMA of six new molecules. He is co-author of more than 40 scientific publications and more than 20 international patent applications.
