We focus our research on the biological properties of nitro-fatty acids (NFA) through the modulation of key inflammatory enzymes (COX-1 and -2, NOX2) and PDI. In addition, lipidomics analysis of biological samples (organ tissues, plasma, urine) has been performed in cells and animal models for mechanistic purposes.
Studies involving LC-MS/MS, microscopy, and western blot experiments have also been applied.
We also analyze the antiplatelet effects of polyphenolic fruits and plant extracts
