Andre Marques

He holds a degree in pharmacy from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2007). PhD from the Institute of Natural Product Research (IPPN) in 2012. He has works involving classical phytochemistry mainly with essential oils and extracts of Brazilian native species of the family Asteraceae, Solanaceae, Alismataceae and Piperaceae. Acting mainly on the following topics: hydrodistillation, solid phase microextraction and countercurrent chromatography in the separation and characterization of secondary metabolites. It has great interest in associated techniques and related techniques in the characterization of complex mixtures as well as biological activies. Currently, he works with research and development of phytomedicines in Far-Manguinhos, FIOCRUZ.
