Recently he received a large grant (1.5 MEuro from the board of a private bank) to build up a recovery and liquefier system for Helium from the instruments of 6 scientific departments of the Scientific Pole of the University of Florence.
Member of the board of the PhD course in Chemical Sciences, of the PhD course of Science and Technology of the Materials, of the PhD course in Science and Engineering of the Materials and of the PhD course in Processes, Materials and Constructions in Civil and Environmental Engineering and for the Protection of the Historic-Monumental Heritage. He supervises, also as tutor, candidates for a doctor’s degree of these courses.
Supervisor of many doctoral degree thesis in Chemistry and Material Science; he follows assiduously final-year university students in Chemistry and Physics, as well as candidates for a doctor’s degree in Chemistry Sciences and in Sciences of the Materials.
