Anastasis C. Polycarpou (S'92–M'98) was born in Cyprus, Greece, in October 1967. He received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Arizona State University (ASU), Tempe, in 1992, 1994, and 1998, respectively. From 1992 to 1998, he was a Graduate Research Assistant at the Telecommunications Research Center, ASU, where he developed and validated codes based on the finite-element method for the solution of scattering, radiation, and microwave circuit/pack-aging characterization problems. From 1998 to 2000, he was a Faculty Research Associate at Arizona State University, working on a variety of projects in the time area of Electromagnetics. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at lntercollege in Cyprus, where he is involved with teaching and research. His research interests include the development and implementation of numerical techniques for complex electromagnetic problems.
