Research interests
In this time of monumental environmental change, I have dedicated my research career to studying the drivers of key ecosystem functions, such as maintenance of biodiversity, nutrient cycling and contaminant remediation. I combine state-of-the-art techniques such as eDNA and remote sensing to reveal the individual components and processes that regulate functions and services in estuaries and use this knowledge to design natural solutions to ecological problems at ecosystem-relevant scales.
