Conducts research in the area of cellular and molecular biology, cancer, genotoxicity, mutagenicity, antioxidant activity and oxidative stress, bioactive compounds and functional foods, using in vitro and in vivo methods. Currently, he is part of the In vitro and in vivo Nutritional and Toxicological Analysis Laboratory (LANTIN), studying the chemical composition of plant extracts and their interactions with various biological models.
