I am currently a bioinformatician at the CDC working on microbial genomics pipelines to better assess and understand healtcare associated infections. I received my PhD with Dr. Adam Martiny investigating biogeography and the adaptive variation of marine bacteria in response to environmental change. At UC-Irvine I investigated the genome content of Prochlorococcus, the diversity of microbes across latitudinal gradients, and adaptation of a marine Roseobacter to high temperature.
