A key area of Dr. Shukla’s research is a novel behavioral intervention, termed “food order,” for regulation of blood glucose in individuals with overweight /obesity, type 2 diabetes, and prediabetes(Saving carbs for last may help ward off blood sugar spike for diabetics )

Dr Shukla has 50 publications including articles in high-impact peer reviewed journals and book chapters. Dr Shukla is an active member of the Obesity Society (TOS), the American Diabetes Association, and serves on TOS’s Clinical, CME Oversight, and Program Committees.
