Allen Wang

Allen is a Texas native, having grown up in Houston's Chinatown region and Sugar Land. He completed his undergraduate studies in Chemistry with minors in Biology and Mathematics, followed by a Master's in Medical Sciences at the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center in Fort Worth. He then began attending medical school at the Texas Tech Paul L. Foster School of Medicine in El Paso. At the end of his third year, he was accepted as a Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, in their Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Department. He is currently working in clinical research under the guidance of the Mayo Clinic Orthopaedic Sports Medicine department faculty, as well as in laboratory research on orthopaedic regenerative medicine under Dr. Daniel B.F. Saris. Current research interests: orthopaedic sports medicine, orthopaedic trauma, orthopaedic regenerative medicine, meniscus salvage, osteochondral defects, hip arthroscopy, femoroacetabular impingement (FAI), multiligament knee injuries (MLKI), shoulder dislocation/instability, healthcare policy
