Ali Zia

Ali Zia (Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. degree (Hons.) in computer science from the University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan, in 2006, the Master of Computing degree from The Australian National University, Canberra, Australia in 2009, and the Ph.D. degree from Griffith University, QLD, Australia in 2020. He is currently working as a Researcher with the ARC Research Hub for Driving Farming Productivity and Disease Prevention, Griffith University. Previously he worked as a Developer/Programmer with Griffith University, and before that, he worked as an Assistant Professor with COMSATS University, Lahore. He also worked as a Researcher with the Neville Roach Laboratory, NICTA, Sydney, Australia. Preceding that, he also worked at various software houses in Lahore. His research interests include pattern recognition, machine learning, computer vision, 3D structure analysis and spectral imaging with their applications to electricity load forecasting, remote sensing, agriculture, medicine, and environmental informatics.
