Ali Nikoofard (S’13) received his first M.Sc. degree in micro-electronics from the Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 2014, and second M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering and computer science from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH, USA, in 2017. From 2017, he is working toward Ph.D. at University of California at San Diego (UCSD), under Professor Mercier supervision. He was an RFIC design engineer intern with MaXentric Technologies, San Diego, in summer of2018 and 2019 working on N-path filter design for GPS application and self interference cancellation techniques in transceivers using N-path filters delay cells, respectively. He has co-authored the book ”Introduction to Wireless Communication Circuits by River Publishers” and his current research interests are low-power RF transceiver design employing high efficient modulation and reconfigurable high-Q high-order bandpass filter design using N-path filters. Mr. Nikoofard has received student sponsorship award for CICC 2018. He has also contributed in peer review of IEEE Journal of Solid State Circuits, IEEE Transaction on Biomedical Circuits and Systems, IEEE Symposia on VLSI Technology and Circuits, and IEEE Sensors Journal. He has also mentored undergraduate students at UC San Diego under JUMP program during his Ph.D.
