Bio
Alexander S. Fedonnikov was born on the 1st of March in 1981. In 1998 he entered Saratov State Medical University, Faculty of Pediatrics, and graduated in 2004. In 2006 he completed graduate school in the Department of Economics, Health Management and Pharmacy. In 2006-2009 he was Teaching Assistant in the Department of Economics, Health Care Management and Pharmacy. In 2008 he defended PhD thesis “Scientific rationale for a model of communication with insurer and medical institution during medical care quality expertise”. After that he concentrated his efforts on integration of medical science and practice, Intellectual property items (IPI) commercialization and innovative enterprises. In 2012 he graduated "cum laude" from the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration with a degree in Economics and Enterprise Management. In 2013 Alexander S. Fedonnikov started working in Saratov Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics as Senior Research Scientist and in 2015 he held office of Deputy Director for Science. From 2017 to the present - Vice rector for research of Saratov State Medical University n.a. V.I. Razumovsky, from 2018 till 2021 - Head of the Department of Innovation Technologies in Healthcare and Rehabilitation of Research Institute of Traumatology, Orthopedics and Neurosurgery of the mentioned university. In 2021 he founded and headed the Institute of Public Health, Health Management and Humanitarian Problems of Medicine of the mentioned university. Under his leadership and with direct participation 2 working groups successfully fulfill the following projects:
- Design, developemt and implementation of a Decision making support system in reconstructive surgery of the spine-and-pelvic complex (the work is funded by the Advanced Research Foundation and fulfilled in cooperation with Saratov State University).
- Online communication as a factor of medical technologies efficiency for labor activity prolongation (the work is funded by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research).
Alexander S. Fedonnikov has more than 120 scientific articles, 18 IPIs and 3 monographies. He founded a small innovation enterprise for technology tranfer and IPIs commercialization which successfully promote projects using scientific funding and contracts with research institutions and industrial enterprises. His research interests include a wide range of issues of public health and healthcare, sociology of medicine, medical rehabilitation, digital medicine, implementation of scientific and technological developments.
