Alex Strasser

I am a PhD student in materials science and engineering at Texas A&M University. I have a master's in materials science and engineering and a bachelor's in chemical engineering with minors in physics and materials science. Regarding research, I am specifically interested in 2D, topological, and quantum materials, especially their optoelectronic properties. I have experience in carbon nanotubes applications and synthesis and characterization of 2D transition metal dichalcogenides in optoelectronic devices at Oak Ridge National Laboratory for 1.5 years. I also have 4 years experience in density functional theory for nonlinear optical properties of 2D materials.
