Alex Alexandridis (Member, IEEE) received the Diploma degree in chemical engineering and the Ph.D. degree in computational intelligence and control from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece, in 2000 and 2003, respectively. Since 2018, he has been a Full Professor with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of West Attica, Greece. He serves as the principal investigator for a number of research projects. He has authored or coauthored more than 80 original research works. His research interests include computational intelligence, optimization, nonlinear system modeling and control, with emphasis on model predictive control methods, and applications to energy systems, process engineering, materials science, geoscience, and environmental science.
