Alessio Lattanzio

Alessio Lattanzio received the bachelor’s/master’s combined degree in physics from the University of Rome “La Sapienza,” Rome, Italy, in 1997. He has been involved in the field of remote sensing since 1998. Since 2012, he has been leading the SCOPE-CM Project on retrieval of surface albedo from geostationary satellites. Since 2015, he has been a Co-Lead of the surface radiation focus area with the CEOS Land Product Validation Subgroup. He is currently involved in the generation and validation of Thematical Climate Data Records from Meteosat satellites. His research interests include the retrieval of geophysical variables such as surface albedo, aerosol, fire radiative power, and atmospheric motion vectors.
