Alba Arenas-Sánchez

Dra. Alba Arenas Sánchez holds a degree in Environmental Sciences from the Autonomous University of Madrid (2010) and a Master in Aquatic Ecology and Water Quality from Wageningen University and Research Center, Netherlands (2012). In september 2019 she got her PhD diploma in Hydrology and Water Resource Management by the University of Alcalá de Henares, with the project tittled 'Multiple stressors on aquatic ecosystems under Mediterranean conditions'. She is specialized in the area of ​​aquatic ecotoxicology, with expertise in the ecotoxicological evaluation of chemicals on aquatic organisms. She has well developed habilities to design experimental work (standard tests and model-ecosystem studies) and field monitoring campaigns, with the aim of detecting climatic and/or chemical stressors in the environment for different biotic groups. She also has expierence on consultancy roles, working as a specialist in chemical exposure models for pesticides (FOCUS) between 2013 and 2014 in the environmental consultancy company Cambridge Environmental Assessemtns (CEA), and continuing in the same company until 2015 finally under the role of aquatic ecotoxicologist.
