Akash Samanta (Student Member, IEEE) received the B.Tech. degree in electrical engineering from the West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata, India, in 2012, and the M.B.A. degree in energy management and the M.Tech. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Calcutta, Kolkata, in 2014 and 2018, respectively. Formerly, he was appointed as a Project Officer and a Solar Energy Master Trainer with the Department of Energy Management, Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management, Kolkata. He is currently the Doctoral Research Scholar with the Department of Electrical, Computer and Software Engineering, Ontario Tech University, Oshawa, ON, Canada. His research interests include electric energy storage systems, battery management systems, power electronics converters, and the application of machine learning and artificial intelligence in battery management systems and power electronics converters.
