Andrey K. Morozov

Andrey K. Morozov (Senior Member, IEEE) was born in Moscow, Russia. He received the M.S. degree in radio physics from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute (Technical University), Moscow, Russia, in 1975, the M.S. degree in applied mathematics from the Moscow State University, Moscow, Russia, in 1984, and the Ph.D. degree in acoustic communications from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute, Moscow, Russia, in 1981. In 1975, he was a Junior Research Scientist at the Moscow Power Engineering Institute, where, then, he became a Senior Scientist and a Deputy Head of the Radio-Systems Department. From 1987 to 1998, he was with the P.P. Shirshov Institute of Oceanology, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, Russia, as a Senior Scientist and then as a Lead Scientist. From 1998 to 1999, he was a Visiting Professor at the Research Institute for Applied Mechanics, Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan. He joined Teledyne Webb Research, Falmouth, MA, USA, in 1999, as a Chief Scientist. He is currently a Research Specialist with the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Woods Hole, MA, USA. He has extensive research experience in the field of communications, signal processing, and underwater acoustics.
