Ahmed Youssef

Prof. Youssef working as full professor at Packaging Materials Department, National Research Centre, Cairo, Egypt. He also is working as Vice President of Conference Unit at National Research Centre and Coordinator of the National Scientific Committee for New Materials and Technology at Egyptian Academy of Science and Technology. He has completed his PhD at the age of 29 years from Ain Shams University and postdoctoral studies from Arkansas University, USA and Grenoble INP-France, He so far won the Ford Foundation Scholarship (2004) for PhD, the AU-TWAS Young Scientist National Awards in field of Basic Sciences, Technology and Innovation (2013), Unilever award for the best applied article (2015), and the NRC Award of Encouragement in Applied Chemistry (2015). Moreover, He awarded the State Award for Advanced Technological Sciences, which serves the basic sciences (2016) and NRC award for Pioneer Award in applied chemistry (2016). He has obtained the Privileges of the First Class of the Presidency (2017) as well as the Egyptian Academy of Science and Technology awarded named as Professor Abbas Yahia Abd El-Kareem for Plastic and Rubber Technology (2017). Furthermore, He has awarded the Scholarship from France institute in Egypt (IFE/STDF, 2014). He has postdoctoral studies in Arkansas University, USA and Grenoble Institute of Technology (Grenoble INP)-France. He has many scientific missions to different countries (e. g, USA, France, Hungary, and China). He has published more than 125 papers in reputed journals with 37 H-Index and 3650citations on Scopus site this paper in trend of preparation and characterization of polymer nanotechnology that used for different applications (e. g. packaging application, waste water treatment, anticancer and solar cell) and contributing as an Organizing Committee Member of several International Conferences that held on Egypt. He also contributes as Editorial Board Member of Journal of Environmental Science and Engineering Technology (JESET), Journal of Composites & Biodegradable Polymers (JCBP) Journal of Research Updates in Polymer Science (JRUPS) and Journal of Environmental Analytical Chemistry (JEAC). He serves as a reviewer for several key journals (RSC Advances, Carbohydrate polymers, Cellulose, polymer bulletin, Colloid and Polymer Science, International Journal of Biological Macromolecules. Correspondingly, I attend many international conferences in (England, Czech Republic, and South Africa) and he attends many workshops. He currently engaged in several research grants in the field of polymer nanotechnology, preparation of nanomaterial’s, packaging, wastewater treatment and solar cell. Research interests involve optimization of preparation of different nanomaterials, production of low-cost sustainable wastewater treatment technologies using agricultural wastes. He has coupled research experience with industrial work with National and International Counterparts.
