Ahmad Kamil Mahmood

Ahmad Kamil Bin Mahmood received the B.Sc. degree (Hons.) in actuarial science and the M.Sc. degree in actuarial science and statistics from the University of Iowa, in 1986 and 1988, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Salford, Manchester, U.K., in 2005. He was the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Information and Technology and the Director of the Mission Oriented Research (MOR) Intelligent Cities. He has managing and coordinating various research projects granted by the industries and the government funding bodies. He has also held various important positions in the industry, such as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of KPerak Inc., DigitalPerak, on a two-year secondment. He served PETRONAS as an IS Practitioner, where he implementing a large-scale SAP Project called Dagangan Marketing and Distribution Systems (DMDS) for PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad. He has over 20 years of experience in various fields of information systems. He has taught undergraduate and postgraduate programs and managed numerous research and development and consultancy projects successfully. He has supervised 19 Ph.D. students successfully to completion. His research interests include e-services quality and measurement, artificial intelligence application, and knowledge management. He has published over 100 articles in these areas.
