Adrian J. Hernandez Arias

Adrian Hernandez received his Ph.D. in Aquatic Biosciences from the Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology in 2005. He has as main professional goals: to achieve academic excellence, to participate actively in the utilization and conservation of the aquatic resources on a sustainable basis and to work towards the promotion of environmentally sound aquaculture industry through the study of fish nutrition. Dr. Hernandez has a rich experience in aquaculture, having worked in different species from both marine and freshwaters environments. In the course of his research activities he had dealt on different aspects of fish nutrition aiming to characterize the nutritive value of various feed protein ingredients and to overcome their restrictions of use. In working toward fulfilling these objectives, Dr. Hernandez has been carrying out a large number of projects and experiments. The various projects and facets of his research program are highly complementary and funded by a variety of governmental agencies and industrial partners.
