Adnan Al-Kaisy

My primary role is still as a practising NHS consultant and clinical lead working at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital NHS Trust. I have always aspired to the ethos of the academic clinician as I have seen it practised by my international contemporaries, and to the belief that we should provide research-based clinical and multi-disciplinary care to equal the best in the world. I have delivered this to the best of my ability, as an individual and in the structures I have helped build and lead, believing that in this way I can have the greatest impact upon patient care. This effort has been recognised by my peers nationally and internationally. I will continue to teach and lecture on important and ground-breaking topics in pain management such as Spinal Cord Stimulation and in the UK, United States, Europe, Australia and Asia. I also continue to be involved in research in the interest of consistently advancing the specialty of pain management and well-being of chronic pain patients.
