Adam Carroll obtained a BS in Mechanical Engineering for the University of Arizona. After graduation, Adam was hired into the Nuclear Science and Technology Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory where he analyzed the risk of relocating a stockpile of elemental mercury owned by the Defense Logistics Agency. In 2011, Adam became the Project Manager and Principle Investigator for Oak Ridge National Laboratory’s Strategic Materials Security Program (SMSP). The SMSP directly supports the Defense Logistics Agency – Strategic Material by investigating reported disruptions within supply chains, researching potential material substitutions to mitigate risk, developing industry and material reports, and building the Strategic Materials Analysis & Reporting Topography system (SMART).
