Abdhalah K Ziraba

Abdhalah K. Ziraba (MBChB, MSc, PhD.) is a researcher and head of the Health and Systems for Health research unit at the African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC). He has a PhD in Epidemiology and Population studies from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Masters in Epidemiology and Biostatistics and Bachelors degree in Medicine from Makerere University. Prior to joining APHRC, he worked as a Medical Officer in Jinja and Iganga Districts in Uganda. He has over 15 years’ experience in epidemiological and public health research and his areas of interest include reproductive, maternal and child health, HIV/AIDS, health information systems- including data quality assessments and health systems strengthening research. He has published over 30 articles and two book chapters.
