个人简介
Abdellatif Ait Lahcen is currently working as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Weill Cornell Medicine-Cornell University, USA. His research at Cornell deals with the design of novel soft robotic sensors for heart arrhythmia mapping. Before joining Cornell, he was working at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Saudi Arabia as a postdoctoral research fellow. He received his Ph.D. degree in Analytical Chemistry back in March 2018 from the Hassan II University of Casablanca (Morocco) under the guidance of Prof. Aziz Amine. His Ph.D. thesis research was focusing on the development of novel electrochemical/ optical sensors based on nanostructured materials and molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs). He was involved during his Ph.D. program in the European Project “Sensing toxicants in Marine waters makes Sense using biosensors” (SMS) Grant Agreement N°613844. He also participated in many collaborative research projects with researchers from the University of the Western Cape (South Africa), the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience & Nanotechnology in Barcelona (Spain), the University of Cadiz (Spain), the University of Sousse (Tunisia) and the University of Rome Tor Vergata (Italy).
He authored and co-authored more than 35 scientific papers in highly rated journals, 1 book chapter with total citations of 1251 and an h-index of 20, as well as 1 US patent and more than 30 oral/poster communications in international conferences. He is a member of the Society for Molecular Imprinting (SMI), the International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE), the New York Academy of Sciences, and the Moroccan Society of Analytical Chemistry for Sustainable Development (AMCADD). Besides, he is serving the community as a reviewer for many prestigious journals including Journal of Materials Chemistry A, Biosensors and Bioelectronics, Trends in Analytical Chemistry (TrAC), Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical, Chemical Engineering Science, Microchemical journal, and Frontiers in Chemistry. He received the award of the best oral communication from Elsevier at Euroanalysis XX conference held in Istanbul (Turkey).
Research Interests: Electrochemical/optical (bio) sensors, Molecularly Imprinted Polymers, Flexible Sensors
