Antonella Vimercati

Prof Vimercati Antonella is Associate Professor in Gynaecology and Obstetrics-Department of "Scienze Biomediche e Oncologia Umana " at the University Hospital Policlinico, Bari, ITALY. She obtained a specialist degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Medical Science of Bari (1995) and a PhD in " Fetal and Pediatric Cardiological Science" at the University ‘Cattolica del Sacro Cuore’ in Rome (2000); she received a referential title in Perinatal Medicine (2012) and obtained the national habilitation to full professor in Obstetric and Gynecology in 2017. At present, her main interest is in the field of :High Risk Pregnancy, Perinatal Medicine, Infectious Diseases in Pregnancy, Ultrasound and Prenatal Diagnosis,Placental Pathologies. She is Responsible for “ High Risk Pregnancy and Prenatal Diagnosis” Unit, that rapresents a referral centre in the South East of Italy; she is referent for Interdivisional Service of Obstetric and Gynecologyc Departments for “Sars Cov 2 infectious”, “ “Regional Project of Fetal Malformations and Congenital Heart disease”, “Solidaristic Donation and Export for Autologous use of Umbilical Cord Blood” and “GIADA Project” (Interdisciplilnary Group for Assistance to Abused Women and Child). She has also partecipated as principal investigator in numerous national and iternational projects and multicentric studies; is reviewer of various journals; speaker in 180 national/international congresses , has Didactic Activity in 12 Subjects, has published widely, being author of more than 380 publications and is responsible for Scientific Organization of 11 congresses. Moreover She has wide range of Surgery activity in all Obst.-Gyn. Fields and particularly in Invasive Prenatal Diagnostic (more than 3000 procedures).
