A. Pouliasi

Alexandra Pouliasi is currently doing her Ph.D. in Geophysics and Space Physics at the Department of Earth, Planetary and Space Sciences of UCLA. She obtained her BSc from the Physics Department of the University of Crete in July 2020. While an undergraduate student, she completed her bachelor’s thesis entitled "Potential for Detection of Ultra-High-Energy-Cosmic Ray Sources", under the supervision of Prof. Vasiliki Pavlidou. During the summer of 2017 she worked as an intern at Skinakas Observatory where she was trained to use the Robopol polarimeter. Results of her observations contributed to a refereed publication “Search for AGN counterparts of unidentified Fermi-LAT sources with optical polarimetry: Demonstration of the technique”, 2019, Astronomy & Astrophysics 623, 61. Her interests are Observational Astrophysics, Planetary and Exoplanetary Science, Space Physics, Machine learning methods in Physics.
