Arnuparp Lekhakula

Dr. Arnuparp graduated with an M.D. and M.S. in Hematology from Chulalongkorn University and won the postgraduate training in Internal Medicine and Hematology from Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital. Also, he took the Master course in Clinical Education at the University of New South Wales, Australia. He got much experiences in PBL from many PBL schools. He was the former Associate Dean for Medical Education, Faculty of Medicine, Prince of Songkla University. Arnuparp was an active member of the pioneering team who implemented PBL in the medical outcome-based curriculum. PBL has been used as the educational strategy for the integrated medical curriculum at Prince of Songkla University since 1988. He has been actively involved in medical education, medical licensure examination, and faculty development in higher education in Thailand. He is the well-known speaker on medical education and PBL at both national and international level. Also, he runs many training workshops in Medical Education and PBL. Arnuparp was the Secretary of the 3rd Asia-Pacific Joint Conference in PBL hold at Phuket in 2014. He is now the Past President of the Asia-Pacific Association on PBL in Health Sciences (APA-PHS). In addition, he was the Head of the Department of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Prince of Songkla University, as well as the President Elect of the Association of Professional and Organizational Development Network of Thailand Higher Education (ThaiPOD). He is the Executive Committee of the Royal College of Physicians of Thailand and of the Consortium of Thai Medical Schools. He currently involves in faculty development and implementing the teaching professional standards framework for higher education at university and national levels, as well as the President Consultant in Education, at Prince of Songkla University.
