I have national recognition for my achievements in favor of the environment, which include some TV documentaries and interviews (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmqzAmSRf1av8G4OvEMhdXg). My doctoral thesis focused on the study of the use of nanoparticles in the detection of pesticides in water, resulting in 4 articles and 3 patents. One of these papers, Glyphosate detection: methods, needs, and challenges are the biggest world review on the glyphosate detection methods, and another one, Application of a Smartphone-based SPR platform for Glyphosate detection, brings new possibilities for agrochemical detection in waters combining them to nanoparticles. During my master's degree, I studied the behavior of dolphins in the face of human actions in Pipa-RN. This study later supported the creation of the Wildlife Refuge in Pipa-RN. At IBAMA. I still coordinated one of the largest Brazilian Wild Animal Rehabilitation Centers at the Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources, where I helped to monitor and return more than 5000 animals to nature. After this position, I worked in the monitoring of spills of oils and other hazardous products in the environment, as well as in the assessment of environmental impact plans, which include nuclear disasters contingency plans too. I have recently acted as a first and second instance judging authority in cases involving crimes against the environment and participated in several technical groups, such as the Parliamentary Front for Animal Defense of the Federal District and the National Environment Council, which means that I comprehend many of the International agreements. My passion is the marine world. I strongly believe that my multidisciplinary knowledge in the different fields of biological areas, as well as my willingness to face new challenges, will be able to contribute significantly to helping protect it. Furthermore, my network of contacts in Brazil and the fact that I speak Spanish and Portuguese can contribute to any new work opportunity.
