Antony Chazapis is a postdoctoral resesarcher at the Computer Architecture and VLSI Systems Lab, Institute of Computer Science, Foundation of Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH-ICS/CARV). He received his Ph.D. in 2009 in Computer Science from the National Technical University of Athens. His research interests include distributed, large-scale storage systems, software defined storage architectures, virtualization platforms for both compute and storage, high-performance computing (HPC), and highly-scalable software deployments that span the whole computing continuum, from the Cloud to the Edge. From 2011 to 2019, he was working in the industry, engineering solutions and leading software development teams that have created innovative storage products for the data center and the Cloud. Since 2019, he has been participating in European projects that aim to bridge the technologies used in Cloud and HPC, as well as designing the software stack for the next generation of European supercomputers (EuroHPC Joint Undertaking). Creator of and contributor to various open source projects.
