Andrius Biciunas received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in physics from Vilnius University, Lithuania in 2006 and 2008, respectively, and Ph.D. degree in physics from the Center for Physical Sciences and Technology, Vilnius, in 2012. His disseration was on “Semiconductor materials for components of optoelectronic terahertz systems activated by femtosecond 1 $\mu$m wavelength laser pulses”. From April till December in 2013, he has been a Post-Doctoral Researcher with the University of Savoy, Chambery, France. He is currently a researcher with the Center for Physical sciences and Technology, Vilnius, Lithuania, and an engineer with Teravil Ltd, Vilnius, Lithuania. His research interests are ultrafast processes in semiconductors, terahertz pulse emission and detection using femtosecond lasers, terahertz probe–optical pump measurements of semiconductors (from which we can determine carriers trapping time in the samples), ohmic, Schottky contacts formation on p-, n- type GaAs, Al2O3 using electron beam evaporation method.
