Yao Zhao currently works at the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Yao does research in Chemical Biology, Analytical Chemistry and Inorganic Chemistry. His previous includes the development of photoactive metal based anticancer complexes, the study of their photochemical reaction mechanism and interaction with biomolecules using various analytical and physicalchemistry methods such as NMR, MS and EPR. His current project is developing multi-targeted anticancer agents and used secondary ion mass spectrometry imaging to elucidate their mechanisms of action.
