My main research interests concern software engineering, and methodologies, tools for WEB application development, multimedia information retrieval and human computation. I served as Program Chair of the International Conference on Web Engineering in 2004, Vice President of the Software Engineering Track of the WWW conference in 2005, General Chair of the International Conference on Web Engineering in 2007 and Area Chair of the WWW Conference in 2010.
