The progresses were in the understanding of fundamental mechanism of the light reaction at the level of crystal structure and also in that of the evolutional strategy of terrestrial plants to adapt to the severe environments. On the basis of the progress in the basic science, we try to develop the innovative technology to improve the photosynthesis and also modify the scenario of evolutional strategy of plants. The goal is the modeling of robust and flexible machinery of photosynthesis.
