个人简介
Taishin Nomura received the B.S. degree from the Department of Physics, Osaka University, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in biophysical engineering from Osaka University, Japan. His Ph.D. research was done in collaboration with S. Sato and J.P. Segundo on nonlinear dynamics of crayfish stretch receptors. During his post-doctoral researches, he joined with Leon Glass on a modeling of phase resetting and annihilation of reentrant tachycardia. He is currently a Professor with the Graduate School of Engineering Science, Osaka University. His research interests involve nonlinear dynamical system theory and its application to biological phenomena, including spike generations in single neuron models, wave propagation in excitable media as a model of cardiac arrhythmias, emergence of oscillatory patterns as a model of locomotor pattern generators, as well as experimental and theoretical studies of human biped walking and postural control.
