个人简介
Syamantak Payra (Student Member, IEEE) is currently pursuing the S.B. degree in electrical engineering and computer science with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA, USA.
He has previously completed internships in a variety of cross-functional industries, including Battery Engineering with Apple, Program Management with Microsoft, and Bioinformatics with the Fondazione Bruno Kessler, Trento, Italy. Passionate about creating technologies with human impact, his research work has included rehabilitation robotics, biomedical sensing, and intelligent fabrics, with further interdisciplinary work across fields like materials science, microbiology, and public policy.
Mr. Payra earned the 2nd Place Best Paper Award at the 2020 IEEE Undergraduate Research Technology Conference. Among his previous research honors are multiple 1st Place Grand Awards at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, and 9th Place at the 2018 Regeneron Science Talent Search. He is an Elected Member of the Sigma Xi Scientific Research Honor Society and has been inducted into the National Gallery for America’s Young Inventors.
