个人简介
Her scientific background is a strong overlap of basic Science and Materials engineering. Poulumi Dey’s research activities, so far, have been primarily focused on ab-initio based designing of technologically relevant materials e.g. high-strength steels in order to improve their mechanical properties and widen their applicability. She also performs first principles based studies to understand the precipitation behavior in complex metallic alloys. In addition, she is actively involved in the development of strategies to mitigate hydrogen embrittlement of steels and superalloys.

2018 - Best poster award at "3rd International conference on Metals & Hydrogen" held in Ghent, Belgium
2014 - Best poster award at "Asia Sweden meeting on understanding functional materials from lattice dynamics" held in Guwahati, India
2012 - Postdoc scholarship awarded by the Max Planck Society, Germany
2009 - Best poster award at "Discussion meeting of Statistical and Condensed Matter Physics" held in Guwahati, India
2006 - PhD scholarship awarded by Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) India
2005 - First rank holder in M.Sc. from Indian Institute of technology Guwahati (Recipient of silver medal)
2003 - Second rank holder in B.Sc. from Gauhati University, India
