Maxime Cavillon received the Engineering degree in materials science
from the Department of Materials Science and Sustainable Development, Ecole Supérieure d'Ingénieurs
de Recherche en Matériaux, Dijon, France, in 2014. He is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree in materials
science and engineering in the Center for Optical Materials Science and Engineering Technologies and the Department of
Materials Science and Engineering, Clemson University, Clemson, SC, USA. He is currently a Research Assistant of Prof.
Ballato and is investigating properties of various materials in order to reduce nonlinear effects in optical fiber
systems.
