个人简介
Mehmet Alper Kutay was born in 1972 in Konya, Turkey. After finishing Ankara Science High School, he received his BS, MS, and Ph.D. degrees all in electrical and electronics engineering from Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey in 1993, 1995, and 1999, respectively. During his graduate studies, he was a teaching and research assistant. From March 1999 to June 2000, he was with the Communications and Signal Processing Laboratory at Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA. He is now a senior research scientist at the Scientific and Technical Research Council of Turkey-National Research Institute of Electronics and Cryptology (TUBITAK-UEKAE). He is the co-author of the book The Fractional Fourier Transform with Applications in Optics and Signal Processing published by Wiley & Sons. He was awarded third place in the 1994 IEEE region 8 student paper contest for his work entitled “An Adaptive Speckle Suppression Filter for Medical Ultrasonic Imaging.” His current research areas include time-frequency signal representations, fractional Fourier transform, time-varying filtering, biomedical signal characterization and processing, and radar signal processing.
