个人简介
I am a Postdoctoral Scholar and Visiting Fellow in the Earth Science and Observation Center (ESOC) at the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES), University of Colorado Boulder. I use high performance computing, satellite, and field data to investigate how hydrologic processes impact the vulnerability of the Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets and global sea level rise.
I completed by PhD in 2019 at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where I was primarily funded by a NASA Earth and Space Science Fellowship as well as external grants from the NASA Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT) mission, the NASA Arctic Boreal and Vulnerability Experiment (ABoVE), and the NASA Cryosphere program. My dissertation research fused remote sensing, geospatial modeling and field surveys to investigate the spatial and temporal dynamics of hydrologic systems in Greenland - on, in, under the ice sheet and in proglacial zones - as well as in Arctic Alaska and Canada.
My research examines the impact of climate and environmental changes on the cryosphere and global water resources; particularly in ungauged, unregulated and understudied hydrologic basins in Polar regions.
My work focuses on (1) hydrologic systems including rivers, lakes and wetlands, (2) cryospheric systems including glaciers and ice sheets and (3) the development and application of novel technologies (spaceborne, airborne and terrestrial) for measuring, monitoring and modeling earth surface processes.
I am also interested in the intersection of the natural and social sciences, specifically in how climate, environmental and anthropogenic changes to the global water cycle interfaces with policy making, global freshwater availability and resource engineering.
