Dr Burriesci’s research has covered many disciplines, including experimental and numerical stress analysis, non conventional materials and bioengineering. Currently, his main interests lie in the field of cardiovascular engineering and medical devices development. In this area, Dr Burriesci has performed research at international level both in the academia and in the industry, producing papers in international journals and conferences, and patents of innovative prosthetic devices, currently in the market or under clinical investigation.
