Bio
I am a Postdoc at the Department of Informatics (IFI) of the University of Zurich since September 2016. My research activities focus on metods to process data streams, with a focus on the integration of streams with complex and heterogeneous schemata. I hold a PhD from Politecnico di Milano. There, I developed my research in the area of stream reasoning (i.e. the application of inference techniques to data streams), where I designed a formal reference model to capture the behaviour of existing stream reasoning solutions. I won an IBM PhD Fellowship award 2014/15, and I had an internship at IBM Research Ireland in 2014. I also spent a period at the University of Aberdeen as a research fellow in 2016, and one at WU Vienna as a visiting student in 2014. From 2013 to 2016, I participated to the W3C Community Group on RDF Stream Processing. From 2008 to 2012, I worked as a junior researcher and consultant at CEFRIEL, where I participated in the Smart City research activities of the LarKC FP7 project, and in research activities related to Web services and recommender systems in the SOA4All and the Service Finder FP7 projects.
