个人简介
Geib is a computer scientist with expertise in artificial intelligence. His work focuses on building computer systems that can recognizing the plans of human users and take automated actions to assist them to achieve their goals. Geib uses probabilistic reasoning, models of human language, and artificial intelligence planning techniques for applications such as human-robot interaction, cybersecurity and making smart environments.
Geib's research strives to create artificial intelligence programming that will allow robots to learn how to perform human tasks. His research also feeds into providing smart environments that could help aging adults to safely remain in their homes later in life. As part of Drexel's Cybersecurity Institute, he is developing artificial intelligence programming that can recognize and prevent computer network system misuse.
He has received funding for this work from such diverse sources as the Department of Defense's Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, the National Institute of Standards, and the European Commission.
