个人简介
Professor Chern's major research interests involve nucleation, growth and stability of the latex particles during emulsion polymerization. In addition, polymerization kinetics and transport of monomers and free radicals encountered in such a heterogeneous reaction system are of great interest to this laboratory. The latex products have been widely used in adhesives, coatings, thermoplastics and in the rubber industries. Synthesis and characterization of submicron polymer particles for protein purification and polymeric micelles comprising PEG-containing graft copolymers as drug delivery systems have also become an integral part of our research program.
